Eva Štěpanovská from the Department of Physics Receives Award at an International Conference in Osaka
Mgr. Eva Štěpanovská, a PhD candidate from the Department of Experimental Physics at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem (UJEP), succeeded with her poster presentation at the international conference ICMSET 2025 in Osaka, Japan. For her work, she received the Best Poster Presentation Award in the section Energy Materials and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.
The ICMSET 2025 (International Conference on Material Science and Engineering Technology) took place on 21–24 November 2025 and focused on modern materials engineering, nanomaterials, and their applications in energy and advanced technologies. The conference brought together experts from Asia, Europe, and North America.
Eva Štěpanovská presented a poster titled Surface Functionalization of Graphene Sheet with C60 for Improved Electrode–Electrolyte Interface in Lithium-Ion Batteries. The research represents the result of approximately three years of work aimed at developing a functional and technologically feasible solution for improving the electrode–electrolyte interface in lithium-ion batteries.
The project was carried out through international collaboration with the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Nagaoka University of Technology (Japan), the Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems in Messina (Italy), and the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. The results of the project have also led to a new offer of collaboration with Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea.
We congratulate Eva Štěpanovská on this achievement and wish her continued success in her scientific career.
