VA charakteristics of LED – Measurement of Planck constant

Remote Laboratory Task VA characteristics of LED – Measurement of Planck constant allows one to measure the voltage characteristics of LEDs and to determinate the value of Planck’s constant.

RLC series circuit

Remote laboratory task The RLC series circuit allows one to measure the phase shifts between the voltages on the coil, resistor, and capacitor in a series circuit and also determine when resonance occurs.

Intrinsic, damped, and forced spring oscillations

Remote laboratory task Intrinsic, damped and forced oscillations on a spring allows one to study the intrinsic oscillations in a situation where the spring is vibrated by an electromagnetic force of a selected frequency. After the electromagnetic force is no longer applied (switched off), damped oscillations can also be studied. Furthermore, this problem can be used to study the forced oscillations in the vicinity of the spring resonance, i.e. at different frequencies of the exciting electromagnetic force we can observe amplitude dependencies, phase relations, energy transfer, etc.

Mathematical pendulum

Remote laboratory task the mathematical pendulum allows you to measure the pendulum’s period of oscillation for different suspension lengths (range 80 to 163 cm). The period of oscillation is measured by a precision optical shutter. It also allows two possible initial deflections to be set. The deflection is read by a so-called water potentiometer (a needle attached to a sphere passes slightly through the water surface on which a potential gradient is introduced by means of two electrodes). Based on the measured period of oscillation and the length of the suspension, the acceleration g can be determined.
