Congratulations on Success in the SOČ Competition!
We are delighted to congratulate Veronika Kovářová and Karolina Filasová, high school students of Gymnázium Jateční in Ústí nad Labem, on their outstanding success in the regional round of the Student Scientific and Technical Activity (SOČ) competition.
The regional round took place on April 10, 2025, where the students defended their research project entitled “The Use of Artificial Neural Networks for the Recognition of Cardiac Arrhythmias Based on ECG Signal Records.” The project was conducted in collaboration with Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Marek Malý, Ph.D., from the Department of Physics at UJEP – Faculty of Science.
Both students demonstrated independence, technical competence, and a creative approach, which earned them first place in the Informatics category and a spot in the national finals.
We are proud that their work was carried out in collaboration with our department. Once again, we extend our congratulations and wish them the best of luck in the national round!
