Success at the Rector’s Awards

The Rector’s Awards of UJEP recognize outstanding scientific, pedagogical, artistic, and applied achievements, as well as exceptional student performance and the long-term contributions of technical and administrative staff. During the ceremonial presentation of this year’s 20th anniversary edition, held on 11 December 2025, awards were presented to 38 students and employees of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.

This year, two members of the Department of Physics were also among the award recipients.
The Rector’s Award of UJEP for Outstanding and Excellent Achievements in the Field of Technical and Natural Sciences was awarded to Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Filip Moučka, Ph.D.
The Rector’s Award of UJEP for Outstanding and Excellent Achievements in the Field of Technical and Natural Sciences for an Employee under 35 Years of Age was presented to RNDr. Adéla Jagerová, Ph.D.

Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Filip Moučka, Ph.D.

Rector’s Award of UJEP for Outstanding and Excellent Achievements in the Field of Technical and Natural Sciences
Assoc. Prof. Moučka focuses on computer modeling of aqueous solutions and crystalline salts and their interactions with carbon-based electrodes and strong electric fields. In 2025, he published four research articles in the impact-factor journals Journal of Chemical Physics and Journal of Molecular Liquids. In 2024 and 2025, two of his publications were successfully evaluated in Module M1 of the Czech research evaluation system. Another of his publications has been proposed for M1 evaluation in 2026.

RNDr. Adéla Jagerová, Ph.D.

Rector’s Award of UJEP for Outstanding and Excellent Achievements in the Field of Technical and Natural Sciences for an Employee under 35 Years of Age
Dr. Jagerová’s research focuses primarily on the preparation and characterization of nanomaterials using physical methods. Her work in nanomaterials research has resulted in the acquisition of highly valuable data published in 28 scientific journals. For these achievements, she was awarded first place in the Henri Becquerel Award for Young Scientists in the Field of Nuclear Physics.
